My Background and Approach
I’ve been a counselor since 1999, helping adults find healing, balance, and a renewed sense of self. My journey into this work began in college, when I faced my own struggles with depression and anxiety. Working with a kind, compassionate therapist changed my life and inspired my calling to help others do the same. Over the years, I’ve supported clients through trauma, addiction, stress, and relationship challenges, integrating evidence-based and holistic approaches to promote deep, lasting change. My work is trauma-informed and centered on safety, connection, and practical growth. I use tools such as Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR and somatic awareness to help calm the nervous system and process unresolved experiences. I value authenticity, curiosity, and compassion in the therapy space—and, when desired, I integrate faith and spirituality to support a deeper sense of purpose, peace, and alignment. I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling at Western Seminary.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in the context of compassion, honesty, and connection. My work is guided by the values of integrity, faith, and respect for each person’s unique story. I view counseling as a sacred partnership where people can rediscover hope and strength, even after deep pain or loss. I value authenticity and balance—helping clients integrate mind, body, and spirit in ways that bring peace and purpose to everyday life. Outside of my counseling work, I’ve volunteered in faith-based and community settings, offering support for individuals in recovery, education and care through church and nonprofit programs. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for people’s resilience and the power of compassionate presence. I believe every person is capable of growth and renewal when they are met with empathy, understanding, and unwavering support.
