My Ideal Client

I am passionate about working with teens, adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I would love to help you to build skills to cope with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and other mental health struggles while creating collective goals for moving forward and developing a deeper connection to yourself and your purpose.

My Approach to Helping

In my work I embrace a strengths-based, relational approach, incorporating trauma-informed care, utilizing an attachment lens, while working with individuals and family systems. I am guided by mindfulness-based and somatic practices, feminist multicultural therapy, Accelerate Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and also offer EMDR and EMDR Flash. I believe that we all hold immense wisdom from our stories. It is my joy to partner alongside people as they rediscover and reclaim their power.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because of the impact of my own healing journey. I believe that all therapists should be in therapy, doing their own work. The systems we live and work within are inherently traumatizing and we ALL deserve access to support and healing. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is my goals to bring more accessible service to our community.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • EMDR External link

I am certified in EMDR and EMDR Flash. I use this modality from a trauma-informed lens and believe in being cautious and creating a safe container before utilizing EMDR processing.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

I use theories from CBT to inform my work with clients, but also enjoying meeting you where you are and adapting therapy to meet your needs.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I really enjoy using "parts" point of view in the therapeutic space. I find that getting to know your parts and how they show up can be a doorway to healing.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

As a queer community member, it is my joy and calling to support LGBTQIA+ members. We experience unique trauma because of our identities and I can bring compassion and understanding with this unique lens. I have also taken many courses in queer theory and supporting folks from this lens.

  • Women's Issues External link

Women experience the world differently. I bring the lived experience to approach these issues through a feminist, trans-inclusive lens.

  • Compassion Fatigue External link

I am passionate about supporting caregiver and other therapists, teachers, and people who give to others for their career. I have taken courses on vicarious trauma and caregiving.

  • Gender Identity External link

I enjoy supporting people in gender identity exploration from a lived experience and queer perspective. I offer letter writing services for trans-affirming care.
