My Ideal Client

I love working with people who are interested in deep transformative self-inquiry, discovering old patterns, healing wounds, and tending to the soul. I support the full spectrum of human experience that clients bring to counseling. I work with people who want to build mindfulness and connection with their bodies, emotions, and truths—cultivating greater awareness and vitality, which ultimately allows for an expanded sense of fluidity within oneself and the world.

My Approach to Helping

I create a safe therapeutic container which is nourishing, welcoming, and of the moment. I invite curiosity, play, and spaciousness, so that clients can engage in their own inner processes of self-understanding. People have described my therapeutic style as: nurturing, heart-centered, intuitive, curious, and graceful. I bring a grounded, sturdy, non-judgmental presence into therapy and strive to meet my clients just where they are at: in celebration of their unique ways of being. I come to this work not only with a sensitivity to the way clients describe their experiences—the words, culture, and body language they use in expressing their personal narratives—but also an acute awareness of the energy present in the therapeutic space. The more subtle fluctuation of connection and realization as it unfolds. We'll dig into old patterning, honor unmet needs, identify your strengths and desires, and support you in living a more connective, creative, and expansive personal truth!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the mystery of the universe, and I witness and honor this divine energy as we engage in the work of transformation in psychotherapy. Dreams, Synchronicities, and our Relationship to Spirit are powerful allies as we build awareness and traverse the landscapes of our lives. Paying attention to our inner worlds opens doors into new realms of selfhood and individual flourishing. Engaging with the unconscious through dreamwork, the body, expressive arts, we uncover significant messages from the deep that have unparalleled potential power in guiding us in our growth and toward personal alignment. I'm also aware of the ongoing oppression that exists in our culture via colonialism, capitalism, patriarchy, and institutional racism which most deeply effects BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. As a cisgender, white woman, I recognize the horrendous effects of white supremacy and consciously work to unwind the ways in which it shows up in my life.

    I see each client as a unique, unfolding cosmos, full of potential, beauty, and the ability to heal and grow. Therapy is a place where all of this can be seen, affirmed, nurtured and allowed to become the foundation of a more fulfilled life experience. I support clients in identifying and healing personal wounds and transforming roadblocks, reconnecting to and strengthening their intuition, and developing a sense of deep self-trust, love, and internal support.

    Embracing a path of self-knowledge is one of the most fulfilling and exciting aspects of psychotherapy. Through the process can be discovered treasure troves of inspiration, connection, and vitality. In this long-term work we are able to enter into the mindful healing of trauma, the tending of attachment wounding and begin the experiential journey into a deeper, more profound selfhood which can guide our lives.

    I see the relationship to Spirit—the animating force of the universe—as a potent factor in therapeutic work. I embrace that each client comes with a different cosmology, personal religious history, and a plethora of spiritual experiences. Or someone might not have had any at all and wants to. I support clients in nurturing this vital connection and help in fostering relationship with the spiritual dimension. Exploring this area together often leads to moments of deep, personal healing.
