My Ideal Client

Are you seeking a provider for yourself, your family member or someone you love? I am seeking clients that are driven to make change. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, loneliness, relationships, school/work issues, substance abuse, or working through stress. I strive to make a therapeutic environment where you can feel comfortable, make progress, learn to accept yourself as the wonderfully imperfect person you are, and tackle your goals. Pets are welcome in session.

How I Can Help You

My approach is to help you obtain new skills, tools, or perspectives that allow you to feel more in control, achieve your goals, and to live your life, intentionally. I am trained to use numerous modalities, and I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed therapy. I am also one of few, if not the only, certified provider in Oregon to provide RTM therapy (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories). RTM is suitable for persons with PTSD including veterans, first responders and civilians.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a unique history of experiences that lends to me being a good fit for some people, as a therapist. I have worked as a 911 call taker and police dispatcher, I trained CIT classes in law enforcement academies, I have worked with representatives from the Pentagon to address the need for veterans to access animal-assisted treatments, I have provided consultations services for reality TV shows, I created programs used in jails to reduce recidivism, and I am a consultant for a national program that pairs veterans and first responders with PTSD service dogs. I believe no person presents with dysfunction, without valid reasons to explain how they got there. There is no place for judgement in therapy, and I hope any concerns or fears you have, can be addressed when we meet. If we aren't a good match or I am not equipped to help you, I will help you find someone who is. I may cuss in session, and you may get to meet my dog 'Max.'
