My Ideal Client

I create an inclusive, affirming space that is LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC-friendly. I'm passionate about helping people heal from trauma and difficult life experiences. Challenges like anxiety, depression, difficulty coping with big life transitions, and relationship struggles often stem from unresolved trauma and I'm experienced in supporting those as well. I also have a special interest in working with people facing fertility issues, as well as prenatal and postpartum mental health concerns.

My Background and Approach

I am a Portland-based therapist, a Chicago transplant, and a mother to two young children. I bring over 13 years of experience supporting adults through mental health challenges and navigating life transitions. My work began in community mental health where I advocated for and supported individuals navigating mental health issues, trauma, substance use, and housing instability. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and integrate it alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients on their healing journey. I also have specialized training in mental health during the prenatal and postpartum periods, including support for fertility challenges.

My Values as a Therapist

Life brings challenges to us all, and these moments can feel overwhelming. I believe that it is my role to create a safe space to explore, make meaning, and work through these difficult emotions. I see emotions as powerful guides, offering insight into what matters most to us. When we learn to work with them, rather than push them away- we begin to feel more aligned with ourselves. We start to find our truth and move through life with greater clarity and purpose. While we may not be able to change the world, or control how others see or treat us, we can shift how we experience our lives. I help clients connect with their emotional world in a safe and supportive way, so they can feel empowered and more at peace- even in the places that don't always feel affirming. My hope is to help you live a life that feels true to who you are-because you deserve to be fully and unapologetically yourself!
