Our Ideal Client

The clients in our clinic are managing everyday concerns and struggling to figure out next steps. They could be parents and children with communication problems, young adults transitioning into adulthood, or people who feel lost. Most of our clients are experiencing mild to moderate mental health symptoms and functional impairment (i.e., sleep, self-care, relationships, school, social, work problems). We do not provide treatment or counseling for substance use or recent suicidal ideation.

What We Specialize In

Pacific Psychology & Comprehensive Health Clinic provides affordable and accessible outpatient assessment, psychotherapy, speech therapy, and psychiatric medication management services to children, adults, and families at our clinics in downtown Portland and Hillsboro. Psychotherapy services are provided by students from Pacific University under supervision by licensed psychologists, psychological pre-doctoral interns, psychologist residents, and licensed psychologists. Services include counseling and therapy for depression, anxiety, child/family issues, PTSD, and a wide range of other concerns. We are proud to offer therapy services with Spanish-speaking therapists or with a Certified Spanish Medical Interpreter. Assessment services and psychological testing for learning disabilities, AD/HD, and cognitive problems.

Our Values as Mental Health Practitioners

Our mission is to prepare trainees for entry-level professional practice in psychology who are competent to provide assessment, therapy, and outreach in a culturally-responsive manner. We strive to provide culturally responsive and evidenced based services in a safe and affirming space. Our clinicians, supervisors, and staff are committed to the promotion and affirmation of diversity in its broadest sense. Prejudice and discrimination are incompatible with the professional ethics of a clinical psychologist and our clinic's commitment to social justice, and they are detrimental to the practice of psychotherapy, assessment, outreach, integrated care, and interprofessional collaborations. Inline with our mission and desire to help as many clients as possible, we are able to bill most OHP (Medicaid) plans in the Portland metro area (e.g., CareOregon, Jackson County, Columbia Pacific, Trillium Health, Yamhill) for psychotherapy and psychiatric medication services.
