My Ideal Client

How long have you been carrying things on your own? Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to have it all figured out. I am passionate about working with clients 18 and beyond regarding their unique struggles, whether that is complex trauma, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, substance use, body image, life changes, low self esteem/worth, family conflict, identity changes, or grief. Let's take it one session at a time.

My Approach to Helping

I am a direct but compassionate therapist that puts trust, understanding, and humor above all else. My goal when working together is to empower you to live the life that will bring you true joy and happiness. Let's connect with your authentic self and cultivate self awareness so we can see how that past experience may be impacting you right now, and how can we change it? Or reframe it? I am here to collaborate with you on goals like how we can change your brain to work with you, not against you, get you unstuck from that pattern that no longer serves you, and build your tool box for lasting change. Your past and context is so important, but it doesn't have to hold you back or define you. It is very important to me that we incorporate your intersectional identities into our work together and how that relates to the world at large.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In my clinical work, I prioritize creating a therapeutic environment rooted in safety, collaboration, and cultural humility, where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered in their healing process. This includes honoring clients’ lived experiences, acknowledging systemic harm, and avoiding pathologizing responses to trauma and survival strategies. My schooling and unique life experiences have helped shape the kind of therapist I am today. I am a passionate member of the LGBTQIA+ community and truly enjoy working with clients of all walks of life.
