ACT is an evidence-based intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness mixed in different ways with commitment and behavior-change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility. The goal is not to get rid of of difficult feelings; but allow them to be present and what life throws at us in order to move toward valued behavior.
Our early childhood attachments with our caregivers creates a template for how we respond and relate with ourselves, and our relationships. They inform our beliefs about the world and from this, we internalize relational patterns. We can cultivate understanding of why we attached the way we did and how we can utilize neuro-plasticity to create new templates to get our emotional needs met.
Paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment non-judgmentally with curiosity and compassion. Mindfulness can help us relax and focus. It can help us reset, reduce stress, reset the body, and bring about personal growth and healing. When we have the experience of feeling and reflecting we can create more space to invite in trusting wisdom and choice.
Personal growth is a lifelong process unique to each individual. We will explore and delve into your values, attachments, desires and aversions to unearth thinking and behavior patters which inhibit your growth. Tapping intuitive self knowledge can generate insights and awareness to live with presence and increased balance as you determine your path.
We live in a society where we have lost the value of believing in a force greater than our human selves. We will explore your history, beliefs, and spiritual goals, including roadblocks and barriers to help you embody your most alive spiritual self.
We will work together to embrace the natural cycle of being human, demystify the myths, and acknowledge the facts as we create a personal pathway of wisdom that feels safe, inspiring and unique to your journey.
Who are you beneath who everyone tells you, you are? Together, we will unfold the layers of negative conditioning and rebuild the authentic self through, thought awareness exercises, values exploration and empowerment visualizations in a safe, non-judgmental space.
It is no wonder so many individuals suffer from anxiety. We live in a society that is constantly promoting fear. Together we will work to acknowledge and demystify the anxious mind, find stability and coping through grounding, behavioral and mindfulness exercises, and move towards valued action and balance.
