My Ideal Client

I work with people who feel disconnected from themselves — often overwhelmed, shut down, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. This includes folks navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, and the impact of shame. I welcome LGBTQ+ clients and anyone questioning the roles they’ve been handed. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We can start with what’s real for you right now.

My Approach to Helping

My work is relational, present-centered, and grounded in an Existential-Humanistic framework. That means we slow down and pay attention to how you’re experiencing the world, yourself, and others. I hold space for deep exploration without judgment or agenda. This work centers your lived experience, honors your autonomy, and rejects pathologizing frameworks in favor of authenticity, meaning, and personal truth. I don’t see you as a problem to be fixed. I see you as a person with history, depth, and wisdom — even if things feel messy right now. I’m trained as a holistic sex therapist and bring a sex-positive, body-aware perspective to the work when it’s helpful. That might look like untangling internalized shame, exploring desire, or reconnecting with your sense of self in a deeper way. I welcome all identities, orientations, and expressions into the room.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a queer man. I love the Pacific Northwest, cold weather, rain, and city life. I lived in Portland for over a decade before moving to Washington. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the trades as a DC power engineer and general contractor. In my spare time, I enjoy bottoming for home renovation projects, being snobbish about craft beer, and watching terrible shark movies. I used to be more outdoorsy, but chronic pain and injury have shifted how I move through the world. I work remotely with clients in Oregon and Utah.
