My Ideal Client

You may be unsure how to explain your feelings and how to get unstuck. There may be parts of your personality from the past that are tying you down. We can talk to all of the parts of you and better understand who you are and where you want to be.

My Background and Approach

My background is in expressive arts. I am a musician and songwriter with an undergraduate degree in Film and Theater arts. Through my work as a counselor, I provide a space for you to explore and work through feelings you've never put a name to. By letting you be yourself and say whatever comes to mind, you can access unknown parts of yourself that deserve to be heard. Talking is just one of the tools we can utilize to find those parts of you that may be hidden; through art, music, and movement, we can communicate with the whole of you. My approach is integrative using humanistic, person-centered, and psychodynamic techniques we can build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore. From there, we can refine what you want to work on using Mindfulness-based, Cognitive Behavioral, and Existential Techniques.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

By learning how we grew up and how that informed the narrative we tell ourselves about our lives, I believe we can continually transform ourselves into the best possible version. I believe that everyone is capable of unique emotional and artistic expression, and we begin to heal by expressing ourselves. Expressing yourself may be just the beginning of your journey, though. Together we can interpret and reinterpret your feelings and narratives to better align with who you want to be.
