My Ideal Client

You’re tired of patterns that keep showing up in your relationships—whether you’re struggling to stay connected, set boundaries, or make sense of how your past shows up in the present. Maybe you’re navigating life with someone who’s intense, reactive, shut down, or maybe that someone is you. You’re trying your best, but it all still lives in your nervous system. You want support that’s attuned to your history, grounded in science, and fiercely committed to your growth, and healing.

My Background and Approach

I help people transform painful patterns and reconnect in their most important relationships—with partners, kids, parents, and themselves. My work draws on trauma healing, mindfulness, and powerful neuroscience-based tools like Rapid Trauma Processing, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and the Nurtured Heart Approach. I am an integrative and resource-based LPC. Using memory reconsolidation (EMDR v.3.0), many clients experience distress from traumatic memories drop from a 10 to a 0 in as little as one session. Integrating the Nurtured Heart Approach, mindfulness, and cutting-edge neuroscience, I bring a warm, relational, rupture/repair, attachment based approach. Together, we’ll use the tools that work best for you—grounded in the latest research on trauma, healing, and connection. Whether in person or online, our work can create the space, light, and momentum you need. Let’s build a bridge to better, together. Many clients find total healing of hard memories in one to two sessions.

My Values as a Therapist

As an integrative therapist, I pull from the best sources and latest research and modalities always trying to offer something helpful. My go-to's are often mindfulness-based, CBT, EMDR, strengths-based, Ketamine, and the Nurtured Heart Approach, in which I am an Advanced Trainer.. I'm armed with resources and will often offer a book recommendation. Very person-centered, my focus is on your unique circumstances and needs. With over 25 years of diverse experience spanning counseling, international feminist studies, world religions, and business, I blend cutting-edge neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and a wide array of therapeutic modalities. I am especially passionate about rapid trauma healing, relationship transformation, and working with both women and men through a gender-aware lens. My journey as a parent to two young adult children—including navigating intense family dynamics—has deeply shaped my approach and fuels my commitment to helping others find profound change.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy External link

I am trained by a Master Trainer in ART who then developed an even more efficient and effective treatment called Focused/Rapid Trauma Processing that uses EMDR techniques, Bilateral Stimulation, and memory reconsolidation. Many of my clients experience total healing, from a 10 to a 0, in as little as one session.

  • Attachment Theory External link

Deeply trained in attachment theory, styles, therapy, ideal parent visualization, and more.

  • EMDR External link

I am trained by a Master Trainer in EMDR and ART who then developed an even more efficient and effective treatment called Focused/Rapid Trauma Processing that uses EMDR techniques, Bilateral Stimulation, and memory reconsolidation. Many of my clients experience total healing, from a 10 to a 0, in as little as one session. I have been using EMDR and BLS for over 20 years.

  • Imago Relationship Therapy External link

Getting the Love you Want. We step on each other's unhealed wounds and will continue to do so until we heal ourselves and understand our partner's dysregulated reactions.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

Mindfulness techniques, grounding exercises, somatic and poly-vagal approaches; understanding the dsyregulation cycle of the brain and nervous system, and developing your own quick response self-regulation-skills is key to staying on your healing journey's path.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

I am certified in Rapid Trauma Processing / Memory Reconsolidation (EMDR v.3.0, similar to Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and this has been proven through research and in my own practice to heal traumatic memories (from a 10 to a 0) in 1-2 sessions. The best part? You don't have to talk about what you are processing! It's like a guided meditation that rewires your subconcious mind and nervous system for greater regulation.

  • Parenting External link

I am an Advanced Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach — one of the simplest and most transformative relational approaches. I credit it with saving my teen daughter's life and transforming our home. I "tried everything" with my ND kid, and everything I tried helped me, but didn't move the needle with my kid, until I found NHA. I lead groups and serve on the Board. This approach significantly reduces family/relational conflict, including ADHA and ODD.

  • Women's Issues External link

I am All But Dissertation (half finished) with my doctoral in International Feminist Studies with a focus on 2/3 world women and post-colonialism.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

With an Imago focus, along with training in EFT and Gottman, I also apply the Nurtured Heart Approach, as well as Relationship Agreements (CNM). I genuinely love working with couples and helping them find breakthroughs, healing, and transformation.

  • Men's Issues External link

Interestingly enough, my education and training in Women's Issues eventually led me to more fully explore and understand men's issues through the lens of Male Initiation, toxic masculinity, and Jungian shadow work. I work with a lot of men who are seeing a therapist for the first time or the umpteenth time.
