My Ideal Client

I love to work with creative people and people who are struggling with anxiety/depression or feeling misunderstood in their world or relationships.

My Approach to Helping

I employ a person-centered humanistic modality which empowers you to be the author of your story, to be the captain of your ship, and to be the person you want to be. Our sessions will be directed by what is important to you and we will use fun and insightful tools such as sand-trays and genograms to help with this process. I believe everyone benefits from therapy as it carves out regular and structured time and space to process all that life throws at us!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I earned my graduate degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in 2016 and have been a counselor/therapist since that time. I am a Sate of Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

Politics and Covid and wildfires and social/racial reckonings are just a few of the macro-level issues we're all dealing with on top of our own individual life-stresses and anxieties. The human condition has only gotten more complex in today's world (to say nothing of Social Media) and working together to process the ways anxiety can be helped and balanced can be one of the most helpful components of therapy .

  • Depression External link

Depression sucks. Therapy helps. Here in Portland we experience stretches of bleak and grey that can seem endless. By working together we can help you get out of that feeling of being stuck in a rut, overwhelmed by life, or just plain sad.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

Relationships are hard. Relationships are also a fundamental part of being human. Together in our therapeutic relationship we can explore this tricky conundrum of building and maintaining your relationships with family and friends and co-workers and romantic partners. This can be some of the most rewarding and healing work in all of therapy!

  • Self-Esteem External link

Self-esteem impacts almost every nook and cranny of our lives. Our self-confidence level determines so many things about how we live our lives and therapy can truly help us to build and maintain our sense of self in a world that sometimes seems bent on tearing us down. Everyone has great worth and therapy can be a good way to build that reminder into our cores!

  • Loss or Grief External link

Loss and grief go hand in hand and are happening in our lives constantly in ways big and small. Having a space to process grief can be immensely helpful and that is one thing I would love to help you with!
