Maybe you’re having trouble “adulting”. You’re feeling like every one else seems to have it all together, why can’t you? You might feel like you’re out of control of your life. You’re tired of doing the same things over and over again with no results. Maybe you’re seeing your child, partner, or loved one facing their own mental health challenges and you feel helpless to create change. This is not the best your life can be. It will get better- and we're here to help you get there.
Our relationship with our selves and others begins with our experience of attachment to our caregivers. Attachment is a huge influential part of our behaviors in relationship with everyone in our lives- our partners, children, parents, families, and friends.
We believe the relationship between clinician and client is the groundwork that leads to effective therapy. Creating a solid connection and mutual respect allows deep work to occur in the therapy room.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy works strategically to help you identify your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they all interact to create your internal world. We may use CBT in tandem with exposure and response prevention (ERP) for folks dealing with symptoms related to OCD, panic, PTSD, or anxiety.
We are trained to consider presenting issues from a contextual family systems lens and are always considering complex intergenerational trauma and other family dynamics in our work with all clients- whether you come to therapy with your family or as an individual.
Many clinicians at our practice identify on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, and all of us at Sprout have experience working with queer folks. We all consider ourselves lifelong allies to our LGBTQIA+ community.
Our team loves working with couples and relationships of all kinds! We have expertise working with open, poly, or ethically non-monogamous individuals, couples, and polycules.
Anxiety is one of our greatest afflictions as a society. We frequently work with clients with anxiety disorders of all kinds, including panic, OCD, and PTSD. We use many approaches to treat anxiety, but pull from cognitive behavioral therapy approaches, mindfulness, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help you learn skills to manage these intensely uncomfortable experiences.
The low lows of depression are not fun. We aim to stand beside you as you cope with depression and help you get back on your feet again, using interventions from CBT and DBT.
